During the visit of the INCB President to Malta where he addressed the 17th ECAD Conference ( read the statement), Professor Hamid Ghodse met this afternoon with the Prime Minister of Malta, Dr. Lawrence Gonzi. Issues discussed during the meeting included the international drug control system and the drug control situation in Malta, in particular the follow-up to the Board's mission to the country in October 2009.

Prof. Ghodse met also with the Maltese Minister of Health, Dr. Joe Cassar. On this occasion, the INCB President presented the minister with a copy of his book "International Drug Control into the 21st Century" .
