INCB releases two of its technical publications for 2013

INCB report on Narcotic Drugs: Estimated World Requirements for 2014; Statistics for 2012

INCB report on Psychotropic Substances:
Statistics for 2012; Assessments of Annual Medical and Scientific Requirements for Substances in Schedules II, III and IV of the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971

The two annual technical reports are published by the INCB in accordance with the provisions of articles 12 and 15 of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 and articles 16 and 18 of the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971.

The technical data on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances are published for use by national drug control authorities and they may also be of interest to researchers, enterprises and the general public. The published data are based on information furnished by Governments.

In 2012, the Board decided to modify the structure of its technical reports by moving some information to the annexes. All information contained in the previous editions of these reports continues to be included in the technical publications for 2013, although in a different order (see tables of contents). The entire reports, including their annexes, are available as of today on the INCB website.

  • The INCB Annual Report 2013, the main report of the Board published annually, will be launched on 4 March 2014 along with:
  • The 2013 INCB Report on Precursors and chemicals frequently used in the illicit manufacture of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
