Mission to the United Arab Emirates
From 10 to 12 September 2018, INCB undertook a mission to the United Arab Emirates. The mission was led by Professor Wei Hao, Second Vice-President of the Board, accompanied by Mr Imrich Betko of the INCB secretariat, and coordinated by the Federal General Department of Anti-Narcotics of the Ministry of Interior. The mission met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and held meetings with senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The INCB delegation also visited the General Department of Forensic Science & Criminology of Dubai Police and the National Rehabilitation Center in Abu Dhabi. A further site visit was undertaken to a customs facility in Jebel Ali port.
The findings of the mission will be discussed by the Board at its 123rd session to be held in November 2018.
