From 22 to 25 July 2008, Professor Hamid Ghodse, President of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), visited New York where he addressed the substantive session of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) (speech) and met with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The INCB President also held discussions with H.E. Ambassador Le Luong Minh of Viet Nam, Security Council President for July, H.E. Ambassador Léo Mérorès of Haiti, President of ECOSOC, H.E. Ambassador Hamidon Ali of Malaysia, Chairman of the Fifth Committee of the General Assembly, as well as with several other Permanent Representatives to the United Nations in New York and high-level officials of the United Nations Secretariat.
