INCB participation in UNGASS round tables on supply reduction and cross cutting issues

20 April 2016 - In parallel with the UNGASS plenary session, the programme of the special session included the opportunity to interactively discuss key areas in organized round tables.

INCB participated in a round table on "Supply reduction and related measures; responses to drug-related crime; and countering money laundering and promoting judicial cooperation ("drugs and crime"). The INCB Rapporteur, Mr. Bernard Leroy, made an intervention focusing on the emergence of new psychoactive substances and the control of precursor chemicals.

On the same day, a second round table was held to discuss "Cross-cutting issues: drugs and human rights, youth, women, children and communities", where INCB First Vice-President Sri Suryawati addressed the distinguished participants.
