France's Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Division visits INCB Secretariat
VIENNA, 13 June - On Friday, 9 June, Mr. Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, the Deputy Director of French Foreign Affairs Division responsible for the United Nations, international organisations, human rights and the Francophonie, visited the INCB Secretariat for a meeting with the Secretary of the Board, the Chief of the Conventions Evaluation Section and the Chief of the Psychotropic Control Section.
Discussions were held on areas of mutual interest in the drug control field including developments in France with respect to drug control, the implementation of the Outcome Document of the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on the World Drug Problem, emerging challenges to the international legal drug control framework, as well as opportunities for further mutual cooperation, building upon France's strong support of the Board and its activities.
The Deputy Director was accompanied by Mr Fatih Akcal, the First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the French Republic to the United Nations in Vienna.
