INCB 2019 Annual Report and Precursors Report
Announcement:
VIENNA, 20 February 2020 - The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) will be launching its 2019 Annual Report and Precursors Report on 27 February 2020.
INCB President Cornelis P. de Joncheere will present the reports in Vienna, followed by launches worldwide.

The Report this year has a special focus on improving substance use prevention and treatment services for young people and contains a number of recommendations to help States take effective measures when addressing drug-related problems.
The Report addresses global inequalities in access to pain medications and makes recommendations towards tackling these injustices. Further, it highlights the prominent role cannabis plays among adolescents and adults. Regional developments, among them the opioid crisis in North America and, in particular, the need to address the illegal drug economy in Afghanistan are also covered in the report. The Annual Precursors Report 2019 will also be presented at the launch.
