INCB Moderates Public-Private Partnership Panel at IDEC 2025

Nashville, Tennessee 26 August 2025 - The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) GRIDS Programme moderated a high-level panel discussion on public-private partnerships at the 39th International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC) 2025, held in Nashville. The panel brought together representatives from major technology companies and senior officials from U.S. law enforcement to share innovative strategies for combating synthetic drug trafficking and online criminal activity through rapid voluntary cooperation.

Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between government and industry to detect and disrupt trafficking networks, improve information sharing and awareness raising, and strengthen the protection of financial and social platforms with the aim to educate and empower officers from 130 countries in attendance to engage with their industry partners.

The event was delivered under the framework of the INCB GRIDS Programme, with the support of the United States Government, Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement.

The Board's Global Rapid Interdiction of Dangerous Substances (GRIDS) Programme and Project ION and OPIOIDS Project support Governments' capacity to respond to changing trafficking, illicit manufacture, marketing and sales of NPS, non-medical synthetic opioids and fentanyl-related substances by providing real-time communication, facilitating information exchange and intelligence development that interdict distribution of dangerous substances.
